252 Badges

At our club we run the 252 Badge Scheme.

After six practice shots, you’ll shoot 36 arrows at a 122cm target face from your selected distance. The round can be shot at any of the following distances: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, or 100 yards. The goal is to score 252 or higher (specific scoring criteria apply for other bow types). If you achieve this score twice, you can earn a badge.

Imperial vs Metric

In the UK, there are two major types of round
At our club, we shoot both.

Imperial

Traditional “imperial” rounds that only really exist in the UK, and are shot at distances measured in yards and use a full size (122cm) 5-zone scoring.

metric

All distance are measured in yards, and all rounds use a full-sized 122cm target face with using 5-zone scoring (9,7,5,3,1).

Metric

“Metric” rounds, where the round distances use metres and the target faces use 10-zone scoring.

metric

All distances in metres. All target faces are 10-zone style, although on some target faces some of the outer-rings might not be present.
